My first week
Day one: I had a nervous morning, but the minute I got into the office I felt really relaxed. The team was so welcoming and helpful in every aspect. Information overflow is inevitable in every new job, but I am confident I will get the hang of it.
Day two: Today I had time to familiarize myself more with a few of our clients. I want to know the clients inside out, so I can provide the best for them in return. The majority of the accounts I have been working on today have been aerospace related. This has revealed a bit of an aviation geek in me (#avgeek – it’s a thing). My knowledge of the industry is not too extensive, however now I know what I’ll be doing over the weekend!
Day three: I got to work on different tasks today from media monitoring to drafting press releases. One of my missions today was to do some research for an exciting client proposal. It is so stimulating to throw yourself into the world of facts and figures. Pembroke and Rye has such a diversity in terms of the client accounts. What fascinates me is how all the work that is done for them is always unique and tailored just for their needs.
Day four: Today has been a very exciting day with more involvement with client accounts. What I really enjoy at Pembroke and Rye is that this is actually a team. If there are any issues you will not be alone, but have the team backing you. The same goes for if there is a reason to celebrate (like we did today, as it was Rosie’s birthday) we will all do so. This is why Pembroke and Rye is succeeding so well, they care about each other and the clients very much.
Day Five: It is Friday and I feel like the week has gone in the blink of an eye. I am still trying to get my head around it all - whilst dreaming about airplanes, however, I could not be more excited about what is to come.
I just want to end this by saying how excited and happy I am to be part of the llama loving team here at Pembroke and Rye, THANK YOU!
